Join us at the beautiful Euphoria Retreat Wellness Resort in the scenic mountains of the Peloponnese to learn about herbal medicine for everyday living. This 6-day course immersion is for all levels of herbal education and offers daily lectures on how to naturally support the health of different body systems.

Herbal medicine is an ancient practice that spans thousands of years across continents and cultures. Our course will teach you key lessons from herbalism, including the gut-brain connection, the importance of sleep for mental health, hidden toxins in body care products, and natural ways to balance hormonal changes in the body.

To enhance the educational component, participants will enjoy luxury accommodations at the most exemplary of spa resorts for holistic healing in Greece.

Registration includes:

  • 5 nights accommodations at Euphoria Retreat Wellness Resort

  • Daily breakfast prepared with fresh, local ingredients

  • Four meals (lunch or dinner) as indicated on the final itinerary

  • Daily lectures on herbal medicine and wellness techniques taught by a clinical herbalist and a medical herbalist / biomedical scientist

Rates after March 1:

€4,250 for single occupancy

€3,850 for double occupancy / per participant

How to Register:

Submit a non-refundable €500 deposit and choose your room selection (single or shared occupancy). After you submit your deposit, two invoices will be sent to you for the remaining balance. Invoice #1 is due by May 15, 2025 and invoice #2 is due by August 15, 2025.

Registration Terms and Payment Schedule:

All fees are to be paid in euros. Payments are accepted by any credit card or PayPal. Any fees for currency conversion are to be paid by the registrant. For refunds, invoice #1 can be fully refunded (excluding credit card processing fees) by June 30, 2025 or earlier. After this date, invoice #1 can be refunded 50% (excluding credit card processing fees) until July 30, 2025. No refunds after July 30, 2025, but transfers to interested participants is possible. All participants must agree to the Booking & Cancellation Policy when the deposit is submitted.



About the Instructors

Maria Christodoulou, The Greek Herbalist

As a clinical herbalist, Maria offers educational herbal tours throughout Greece and virtual courses based on the bounty of medicine and folklore of her ancestors. She has published on a wide-range of topics, including ancient and modern Greek uses of medicinal plants, Greek botanical mythology, and the landscapes of Greece, for both the academic and herbal communities. 

Maria is the author of “The Greek Herbalist's Guide to the National Garden,” “The Greek Herbalist’s Guide to the Mountain,” and “The Greek Herbalist’s Guide to Rituals, Charms, and Prayers.”

She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Classics from Bucknell University, a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Drexel University, and a clinical herbalism certificate from ArborVitae School of Traditional Herbalism in New York.

Dr. Anita Wąsik, Medical Herbalist, Biomedical Scientist, Educator

Having faced chronic fatigue, chronic pain, breathing difficulties, and extreme sensitivities to food, smells, mold, and chemicals, Anita knows first-hand the challenges of chronic illness. Her journey to reclaim her health with natural therapies fuels her passion for helping others struggling with unexplained symptoms and chronic conditions that conventional medicine often overlooks. Anita blends centuries-old herbal wisdom with cutting-edge science to offer a holistic approach to healing. Her experience spans research and clinical settings across Europe, and she is passionate about sharing her knowledge with those seeking a healthy lifestyle.

Anita earned her PhD from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Helsinki, Finland and holds an MSc in Biotechnology and Molecular Biology from the University of Wroclaw, Poland. Her website is: www.anitawasik.com.

How to Get to Euphoria Retreat Wellness Resort

Euphoria Retreat Wellness Resort is located in the beautiful Peloponnese region of Greece in the village of Mystras, which boasts a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its breathtaking medieval ruins.

We have arranged a group transfer from the Athens International Airport (ATH) in the late morning of Sunday, October 12 and a return on Friday, October 17 after hotel check-out (12pm). The drive from Athens to the resort is approximately 2.5 hours. Upon registration, please let us know your travel plans, including if you plan to arrive separately.

Day 1: Sunday

  • Group pick-up from Athens airport and drive to Euphoria Retreat Wellness Resort in Mystras (2.5 hours)

  • Welcome circle and introductions

  • Lecture on the foundations of wellness and the gut-brain connection, including herbs and dietary strategies to support digestive health and natural ways to strengthen immunity through diet, lifestyle, and herbal remedies

  • Herbal tea workshop with Greek herbs

  • Group dinner

Day 2: Monday

  • Breakfast provided by hotel

  • Lecture on sleep and mental health, including herbal and lifestyle remedies to manage stress and promote restful sleep, and nutritional support for brain health and emotional balance

  • Herbal workshop for better sleep

  • Lunch on own

  • Free time for spa, wellness activities, or excursions

  • Group dinner

  • Yoga nidra

Day 3: Tuesday

  • Breakfast provided by hotel

  • Botanical hike to learn about the myths and medicines of common flora

  • Lecture on the effect of environmental toxins on your health, the hidden toxins in everyday products, and the dangers of mold

  • Herbal workshop for DIY chemical-free cleaning products

  • Lunch on own

Day 4: Wednesday

  • Lecture on respiratory and circulatory health, including lung-strengthening exercises and herbs and foods to improve heart health
